You will be surprised at the jumping and looping capabilities of the Alpha; it has smooth lift and hang-time with precise feedback. The Alpha has great upwind performance thanks to the innovative flat arc design and an efficient high lift airfoil section.
The lightweight design translates to incredible low-end performance making the Alpha a very competitive choice not only for light wind freeriding, but also the expanding freeride hydrofoil scene in almost any wind strength. The power to de-power stroke is progressive and dynamic enough to provide smooth lift for transitions and jibes with a foil board.
For high wind foiling in chop or waves, take a small size with shorter lines for loads of fun drifting the kite while carving swells across the wind.
In the surf the Alpha is perfect for drift style wave riding as it floats with you. The handling is direct and responsive which allows you to put the kite where you need it. The Alpha is not as dedicated to waves as the Reo, but it still delivers solid performance in cross-shore to on-shore conditions.
Water re-launch is easy, by simply turning the bar or using the re-launch balls on the leader lines, the kite will roll over into the re-launch position.

The Alpha V1 comes standard with an ultra lightweight Compressor Bag, perfect for travelling and day-to-day protection for your kite. It is easy to use and compresses a kite to minimal size. Combine with the Technical Bag to fit multiple kites inside one carry bag.

Soft Bar Ends with Leader Line Adjustment – Soft bar ends for comfort and are less likely to damage lightly constructed boards. The leader lines are adjustable via knots inside the float, simply pull out from the opening to access and adjust to your preference.
Ozone Contact V4 Bar and Lines
Stainless Steel Leader Line Pin - Superior strength is achieved with a Stainless pin running through the bar. This creates an ultra strong and direct connection between the control bar to flying lines.
Low Friction Centre Piece – The control bar features a low friction centre piece designed to reduce wear.
PU Covered De-Power Line - The tough PU covered de-power line significantly reduces wear when sheeting in and out.
Stainless Steel Trimmer Bracket – The smooth running trimmer bracket also prevents trim line wear.
Clamcleat Trimmer – Anodized low abrasion Clamcleat trimmer.
Bungee Trim Line & Magnetic Handle – The internal bungee with magnetic handle connects to a magnetic neoprene sock covering the clam cleat to reduce tangles when the trimmer is de-powered.
Re-launch Balls - Fixed to the leader lines to pull when re-launching the kite.
Flying Lines – Colour coded 500kg front / 300kg back lines.
EVA Grip - Lightly sanded with ergonomic finger bumps providing the ultimate bar grip.
The Contact-Water Control System bar sizes come in 38cm, 45cm, 50cm and 55cm. The larger size PU chicken loop (sold separately) is perfect for riders with longer arms or requiring even easier hooking in & out.

An all-new push-away quick release with an innovative one-step Click-In reload function that is incredibly intuitive. The release handle fits comfortably in the hand, it is quick and easy to activate the release by pushing the handle away. A self-positioning release mechanism locates automatically, ready to be re-loaded by simply ‘clicking’ in the loop. The Click-In Loop is AFNOR NF S52-503 certified.
Message us your bar size and line length preference as you check out. A shorter line length gives more direct steering. A longer line length gives more power. A typical kite line length is 23 or 25m. The Contact Bar supplied in Ozone kitesurf kite packages is supplied with 25m lines.
