About the Raptor Wing V2
The leading edge uses SIC's ExoTex® Dacron — a non-stretch weave with a protective coating that allows a higher-pressure airframe, substantially increasing tube strength and rigidity, improving airflow and flight stability, and helping prevent seam bulging. The canopy uses CORETEX® Triple Ripstop, developed with CORE Kiteboarding for breaking strength, tear resistance, UV protection and overall durability.
The wing's low aspect ratio delivers strong power for its size, and the shorter wingspan reduces the chance of a wingtip dragging in the water when powering up, tacking, jibing or touching down. An in-flow panel keeps the canopy's aerodynamic profile efficient through acceleration and cruising speed, and the RUSH-AIR valve system allows quick inflation and deflation.
